Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving!!! Young Life today was in honor of pumpkin pie, cranberries, yams, turkeys, and Jesus. I haven't heard this much laughing in a long time. It is so fun to see kids from all walks of life come together and share laughs together. Not many places in our world do we see different kinds of people spending quality time together, but in South Young Life this phenomenon happens. It is an incredible picture of Gods Kingdom. My favorite part of the night was sitting at Dairy Queen with a Senior, two Freshman, two Sophomores and a Junior from North, none of whom really knew each other, talking about life and accepting one another. It doesn't get much better than that. 

 

Tonight I shared about the wedding banquet in John 2. This is where Jesus turns water into wine. In a world that is so full of false hope and broken promises, Jesus is the one true giver, he is able to fill our cup when life runs dry. Give thanks to Jesus, for he is good!

Another GREAT Club!

Praise God that he is so faithful. We had four leaders today at Club and 60 kids....we would not be able to do it. God provides! We have a family who provides their 8 seat vehicle on Club days, we have two gals who come every week to take video, work our media, as well as clean up the Club room, we have a group of Seniors who step up and are leading most everything at Club, we had another guy come and help clean up, and we had a parent volunteer to take multiple trips to drive kids to Dairy Queen after, not to mention the delicious meal for leaders before Club made by a parent. The things that seem so little make a giant impact. Thank you! What God is doing in Young Life at South would not be possible without the work of many hands.

Club was awesome! Kids had a blast! and Jesus was proclaimed!
