Christmas Club!!!

Christmas Club is my favorite club of the year. There are so many fun things to do, fun music to listen to, and of course it is a time to celebrate Jesus. This week we had a balloon stomping battle; balloon stomping always looks more like an awkward dance. I never knew so many kids had such great moves. Six kids stepped up and showed their singing ability; they had to listen to christmas carols on the IPOD and sing the lyrics to the audience. Jose can really belt it! I loved seeing kids work together to wrap their friends in wrapping paper, but what I love most about Chrismas Club, is that you can sing fun old songs that the kids know and love, and everyone really sings!

To close out Club, I presented the birth of Jesus. Jesus is the visible image of an invisible God. He came into the world not demanding our praise, but to meet us where we are. He came into the world as a baby, born in a stable, in a region where the leader wanted him killed. Jesus went through a lot much like we do every day, he knows what we go through, and he loves us. I don't know about you, but that is something to celebrate!
